For once, we would like to inform you not about the classic topics of our day-to-day business, but about a very special project in which Fabrical had the opportunity to participate as an investor: the establishment of a bank.
A bank? Yes, more precisely, a wine bank. And even more precisely: the first wineBANK in Switzerland.
The Concept
Just over a year ago, wineBANK Bern opened its doors in the legendary vaulted cellars of Kramgasse 46 in Bern’s old town. The wineBANK is a private members’ club for wine lovers.

Each member rents their own personal wine compartment and can store and enjoy their wines under ideal conditions, with temperature and humidity perfectly controlled.

The offering is complemented by stylish lounges, a vinotheque, a small business center, and a fumoir.

The wineBANK is deliberately unstaffed: members open their own bottles and leave the club clean and tidy.

If desired, catering services from the nearby Zunft zur Webern are available, as well as small snacks on-site, which can be conveniently paid for via TWINT.

Those who do not wish to consume their own wine can choose from a wide selection of white, red, and sparkling wines in the vinotheque or enjoy wine by the glass via a by-the-glass dispensing system.

With their personal badge, members also gain access to all wineBANK locations in Germany, Austria, the USA, and Switzerland.
A Networking Club for Entrepreneurs
However, the wineBANK is far more than just a place for wine: it is a networking club for entrepreneurs.
The group of sponsors consists of around two dozen entrepreneurs from Bern, Zurich, and Zug, united by the goal of creating a meeting place for entrepreneurial personalities. Each month, business, political, and wine talks are held with renowned business leaders, national politicians, and recognized wine experts.
Success Across the Board
The response speaks for itself: all 190 wine compartments were fully rented within just a few months. wineBANK Bern is a success across the board: supported by the right people, a compelling price-performance concept, and an offering that has clearly captured the spirit of the times.
